Selected by Wemyss Malts for its distinctly fruit-led character, this single-cask Macduff was distilled in 2006 and matured for 15 years in an oak barrel. Its name, A Walk In The Orchard, reflects a generous profile of ripe apples, pears and soft autumnal sweetness, balanced by gentle spice and malty depth.
Bottled at 46% ABV, the release combines Macduff’s bright Highland style with notes of vanilla, caramel, toasted nuts and fresh herbs. Only 296 bottles were drawn from the cask, making this a limited expression with an inviting balance of orchard fruit, sweetness and warming ginger spice.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with a warm honey glow and subtle coppery gloss.
Nose
Bouquet of sweet meadow flowers and old varnished antique wood. Soft vanilla develops into caramel tones, then orchard fruits, with a subtle finish of barley sugar.
Palate
Bright on the palate, gingered caramelised apples mingle with silky butterscotch, while jasmine sweetness unfolds into herbal notes of fresh coriander, leaving a delicate, lingering warmth and a touch of spice.
Finish
Slightly dry and malty, the finish lingers like a stem-ginger oat biscuit, with warm spice and subtle sweetness inviting you to reach for another sip.
