Distilled at the Macduff Distillery in 2009, this Whisky was matured in a single Hogshead cask (#700443) for 12 years. Only 261 bottles are available.
This subtle Highlander initially offers charming aromas of malted barley and austere green fruits, as is often the way however a little time in the glass allows this whisky to open up and notes of manuka honey, lemon oil and cedar appear. The distillate’s fruity character dominates the palate bringing orange, underripe peach, green wine gums and honeyed toast. The finish shows waves of wood spice and a touch of vanilla.

Nose
Initial aromas of malted barley and austere green fruits rise from the glass; with patience, it unfurls into manuka honey, lemon oil and cedar, offering warmth, lift and a poised, cedar-kissed sweetness.

On the palate, fruit-forward and lively, with bright orange and underripe peach leading, interwoven with green wine gums and honeyed toast. A gentle wave of wood spice builds, finishing with a touch of vanilla and warming, lingering length.
