Cask Strength Single Cask

This single malt was distilled at the Macduff distillery in 2009. The whisky was allowed to mature for 13 years in a single refill bourbon barrel, producing an outrun of only 218 bottles.

Rich vanilla pod aromas complement tropical fruit and subtle cocoa powder. Pineapple and banana flavours give way to cracked black pepper. A medium finish with spice and citrus.

(Mac-Duff) The Glen Deveron / MacDuff distillery was founded in 1962. However the first spirit actually flowed from their stills on 30 June 1960. One of the youngest distilleries in Scotland and seems to have changed its name more often than most other, much older distilleries. They kept changing the official name from Glen Deveron to MacDuff and back again.
