Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with mahogany hues and copper highlights, a burnished, wine-kissed glow.

Nose

Sweet blackcurrant gives way to liquorice and fresh mint, with lemon peel and ginger spice guiding toward a gentle, sweet smoke on the nose.

Palate

Stewed raspberry leads to smooth orange peel. Baked apple with faint notes of black pepper.

Finish

A full, lingering finish where warm oak supports a persistent note of summer berries, with soft tannins and a subtle kiss of spice carrying to the end for a refined, fruit-forward fade.

Ardmore
(ARD-moor) Ardmore was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher to supply peated malt for Teacher’s blends, and it remains one of the more distinctive Highland distilleries for that reason. While peat is more commonly associated with Islay, Ardmore built its name on a smokier Highland style, combining earthy peat, gentle spice and a slightly dry, robust character. The distillery is based at Kennethmont and is now part of Suntory Global Spirits.
