Bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd, this 2009 Ardmore was matured in a single Madeira wine cask before being bottled in 2023 at 14 years old. Drawn from cask #709317, it was bottled at 54.2% ABV, with an outturn of 268 bottles.
Madeira casks work particularly well with Ardmore’s gently smoky Highland style, adding a richer layer of fruit and sweetness without losing the distillery’s earthy peat character. Here, the cask brings notes of stewed fruit, honey and spice, giving the whisky a rounder, more expressive profile while still keeping that dry, softly smoky Ardmore character in place.

Long and warming, the finish lingers with soft Ardmore smoke, dried fruit sweetness and a kiss of spice, slowly fading into warm oak.
