Ardmore Distillery was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher, the son of William Teacher, to provide the signature peated malt used in Teacher's Highland Cream. Located in Kennethmont, Aberdeenshire, Ardmore has remained true to its Highland roots, producing a distinctive lightly peated single malt that sets it apart from most mainland Scottish distilleries.
Fed by the natural springs of Knockandy Hill, Ardmore combines traditional production methods with carefully selected oak casks to create whiskies known for their balance of gentle smoke, honeyed sweetness, citrus fruit and warming spice. While much of the distillery's production continues to support premium blended Scotch, official bottlings and independent releases have earned Ardmore a loyal following among whisky enthusiasts worldwide.
