Nose

A powerful, aromatic nose of peat smoke entwined with STR red-wine barrique fruit: blackberry, black cherry and raspberry, lifted by plum. Toasted oak delivers vanilla and cocoa, while cinnamon and clove add warmth. Subtle leather and espresso deepen the profile, with a peppery, charred finish and a touch of mineral smoke.

Palate

At cask strength, Ardmore delivers a bold, peat-kissed palate with vinous warmth from the red wine barrique. Ripe red fruits—cherry, plum, blackberry—sit with notes of dark chocolate, toffee, and spice, tempered by a savory oak tannin. Peat and smoke linger into a long, warming finish, carried by syrupy spice and a touch of espresso.

Finish

Persistent, warming finish with smoky peat and red-wine oak. Notes of dark plum, fig and raisin emerge with toasted spice, carried by a cask-strength glow. A refined, savory tannic tail—whispering char and wine-soaked oak as it slowly fades into velvety warmth.
