This single malt was distilled at the Ardmore distillery in 2009. The whisky was allowed to mature for 13 years in a vatting of Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
(ARD-moor) Ardmore was founded in 1898 by Adam Teacher to supply peated malt for Teacher’s blends, and it remains one of the more distinctive Highland distilleries for that reason. While peat is more commonly associated with Islay, Ardmore built its name on a smokier Highland style, combining earthy peat, gentle spice and a slightly dry, robust character. The distillery is based at Kennethmont and is now part of Suntory Global Spirits.
