Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany hues and a coppery glow.
Nose
Peat smoke swirls with sea-salted air, lifted by velvety sherry. Dried dark fruit—plum, fig, raisin—drifts with cocoa, toffee and vanilla, while oak provides a warm, spicy backbone. Leather and toasted almond mingle with a subtle medicinal note, a coastal tang grounding the finish in dusky, lingering smoke.
Palate
Full-bodied and richly peated, Longrow coats the palate with coastal smoke and sea-salt from the first sip. Sherry-cask depth brings dried fig, raisin, and cocoa against a treacled sweetness, while spice—cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove—lifts the mid-palate. Oak provides quiet backbone as the long, warming finish lingers with smoky-earth notes and a final whisper of dark chocolate.
Finish
Long and maritime, the finish coats with peat and a shawl of sherry sweetness. Dark chocolate, fig and espresso emerge, braided with spicy oak. A saline, smoky edge lingers, coating the tongue with warm peppery spice that slowly fades into a refined, enduring finish.
