RyeLaw is a 2017 vintage, single grain Scotch Whisky made from malted rye and barley. It is hammer milled, mashed, outdoor fermented, precision distilled and matured in new charred oak casks at the InchDairnie Distillery in Fife.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep golden amber with warm copper highlights.

Nose

Distinguished rye spiciness mingling with mellow oak, over a soft layer of vanilla.

Palate

Cascading rye pepper caresses the tongue, cloaked in an oily, mouth-coating viscosity with sweet biscuity cereal and dried fruit notes lingering.

Finish

Pepper-laced and long, the finish clings with an oily, mouth-coating warmth. Rye spice eases into vanilla and toasted oak, while delicate dried-fruit and biscuit notes linger, leaving a refined, enduring glow.

(inch-DAIR-nee) InchDairnie was founded by Ian Palmer in Fife, with construction beginning in 2014 and distillation starting in December 2015. Built near the site of the old Prinlaws mill and named after the historic InchDairnie estate, it was created as a modern distillery with a strongly engineering-led approach to flavour rather than a purely traditional one.
