Port Askaig releases a 15-year-old matured in refill hogsheads, chosen for its quality and age, blended and bottled at 50.5% to capture the best taste experience. Approximately 900 bottles will be available each year. Aged Islay whiskies are sought after for their taste, maturity, and limited nature.
Toasted vanilla combines with BBQ oranges and sea breeze. The freshness of sea salt and lemongrass balance with the earthiness of charred kippers, brown sugar, and light spice. As the dram develops, melon sprinkled with rock salt lingers, revealing sooty smoke and a touch of sweetness.
