Tasting Notes

Colour

Golden amber with sunlit honey warmth and a delicate copper glow.

Nose

Hot chocolate with a touch of coffee—rich cocoa aromas envelop the senses, while a subtle espresso note adds depth, creating a warm, indulgent cocoa-forward nose.

Palate

Silky and indulgent, the palate echoes salted pecan pie: toasted pecans bathed in brown-sugar caramel, a note of vanilla, and a delicate sea-salt lift. Rich and creamy with a lightly spiced edge, it coats the mouth in velvet, guiding toward a warm tropical sweetness on the finish.

Finish

Warm tropical sweetness lingers, mango and pineapple unfolding into honeyed caramel, with a subtle vanilla-spice fade that carries on long after the last sip.

(BUNNA-hah-ven) Built in 1881, Bunnahabhain is situated on the north east coast of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay near Caol Ila. Bunnahabhain's initial aim was to produce Whisky for blending only. While it was used across the industry, it performed a central role in three famous blends: Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Black Bottle. Following a short period of closure in the early 1980s, Bunnahabhain re-emerged as a Single Malt.
