The annual cask strength release from Bunnahabhain is a celebration of the signature distillery style; unpeated Islay, rich with fruit, gentle spice, and a signature coastal elegance.

No dilution. No compromise. Just Bunnahabhain in its most natural, expressive form.

Made up is 50% first-fill Oloroso and 50% bourbon, the 2026 release is similar to the 2023 release but slightly sweeter taste profile.

Burnished Copper.

Nose

Raisins, figs and dates intertwine with honeyed vanilla which fades to reveal cinnamon and clove. Underlying coastal freshness.

Palate

Burst of stewed fruits and comforting spice balanced by creamy vanilla and toasted coconut with a gentle maritime note.

Finish

Long, evolving finish with dried fruit and spice gradually giving way to a touch of dark sugar and polished mahogany.

Bunnahabhain
(BUNNA-hah-ven) Built in 1881, Bunnahabhain is situated on the north east coast of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay near Caol Ila. Bunnahabhain's initial aim was to produce Whisky for blending only. While it was used across the industry, it performed a central role in three famous blends: Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Black Bottle. Following a short period of closure in the early 1980s, Bunnahabhain re-emerged as a Single Malt.
