Port Askaig Cask Strength has rich vanilla, spice, and candied citrus on the nose; toasted oak dominates the palate, integrated with a resinous smoky note that Islay whisky is renowned for. The higher ABV of this whisky provides a more concentrated flavour and oily texture.
No more than 60 carefully curated casks will make up each batch. Each individual batch will have a unique code and show the cask breakdown, enabling the consumer to contrast, compare, and explore the different notes that the wood and blending brings to the whisky.

Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights.
Nose
A warm bouquet of vanilla, spice, and candied citrus greets the nose, bright and inviting, with a gentle sweetness that previews the whisky's depth.
Palate
Toasted oak dominates the palate, intertwined with vanilla, spice and candied citrus. A resinous, smoky core lingers, amplified by the higher ABV into a concentrated, mouth-coating, oily texture, and a long finish of citrus and smoke.
Finish
Long, warming finish with resinous peat smoke lingering over toasted oak. Vanilla and spice remain on the palate as a touch of candied citrus fades, leaving an oily, mouth-coating warmth that slowly dissolves into a soft, smoky sweetness.
