Tasting Notes

Nose

Opulent Oloroso lift with dark dried fruit: prune, fig and sultana, framed by orange zest, burnt sugar and vanilla. Walnut and almond mingle with cocoa, toffee and spice, as toasted oak and a subtle tobacco echo the cask depth. Rich, inviting and warming.

(blair-ATH-oll) Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson in Pitlochry, originally opening as Aldour after the Allt Dour burn. The early distillery closed soon after, before reopening in 1825 under the Blair Athol name. It later passed through several owners, including Peter Mackenzie, before Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
