A Blair Athol single malt from the Infrequent Flyers series, this 14 year old was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2020 from a combined bourbon and Sauternes wine cask. Bottled at 50.6% ABV, the release was limited to 281 bottles.

Burnt amber.

Nose

Waves of apricot. Caramel, over-ripe plums and figs.

Palate

Seriously intense - a very concentrated extravaganza of orchard fruits. Honeyed apricots, lightly toasted apple-and-raisin strudel, dusted with cinnamon. Muscovado sugar, allspice and marmalade.

Finish

Rich, fruity and super sweet.

(blair-ATH-oll) Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson in Pitlochry, originally opening as Aldour after the Allt Dour burn. The early distillery closed soon after, before reopening in 1825 under the Blair Athol name. It later passed through several owners, including Peter Mackenzie, before Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
