Immaculately composed, this mighty Highlander opens with notes of crushed nuts, golden honey and milky cereal on the nose. The palate brings a medley of rich, warming spices, juicy depth and a hint of cracked pepper. A graceful finish follows, where herbal nuances give way to a late flourish of sweet vanilla, gently entwined with soft, malty grist.

(blair-ATH-oll) Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson in Pitlochry, originally opening as Aldour after the Allt Dour burn. The early distillery closed soon after, before reopening in 1825 under the Blair Athol name. It later passed through several owners, including Peter Mackenzie, before Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
