The Mossburn Signature Casks range of whiskies showcase the typical characters of Scotland’s regional malts. They are classic expressions of their provenance, with further influence from our signature casks which were designed specifically to enhance the characteristics we look for in each of these exemplary malts.
These whiskies were first aged in American Oak barrels prior to their initial blending, and were then matured for a second period in our specially coopered custom-made Mossburn Casks. These casks were built to our specifications, or Cask Bill, with each of the malts having its very own: Cask Bill #1 for the Island and Cask Bill #2 for the Speyside.
These Blended Malt Scotch Whiskies have been bottled without any colouring or chill filtration.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with warm copper hues and a touch of honey.
Nose
Sherry-influenced aromas of dried fig, raisin and orange zest rise over honeyed malt, with vanilla and toasted oak, a touch of almond and spice. A polished sweetness hints at the 16-year maturation.
Palate
Full-bodied and warming, this 16-year Highland dram coats the palate with satin-malt and vanilla over rich oak. Ripe orchard fruits—apple and pear—reveal dried plum and fig, punctuated by toffee, cocoa and toasted almond. Cinnamon and nutmeg rise, weaving spice through the oak, culminating in a long, elegant finish with a gentle, fruity fade.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish pours out warm spice and orchard fruit, a kiss of vanilla and toffee, then settles into toasted oak with a lingering, softly nutty fade.
