Colour

Dark amber with coppery hues and mahogany depth, a warm ruby glow.

Nose

Fragrant raisin, bright tangerine and a kiss of clove spice.

Palate

Stewed forest fruits unfold on the palate, with toasted walnut adding a nutty depth and pressed apple lending a crisp lift. A full, rounded mouthfeel carries subtle sherry sweetness to a lingering orchard-fruit finish.

Finish

A full, lingering finish of raspberry compote and fresh mint.

(blair-ATH-oll) Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson in Pitlochry, originally opening as Aldour after the Allt Dour burn. The early distillery closed soon after, before reopening in 1825 under the Blair Athol name. It later passed through several owners, including Peter Mackenzie, before Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
