Colour

Deep coppery amber with a bright ruby glow and garnet undertones.

Nose

Ripe black cherries dominate, folded into lush fruit compote, with hazelnut toffee and a warming touch of ginger spice.

Palate

Moist sponge cake soaked in port, layered with strawberry preserves, sugared orange zest, and a hint of dark chocolate; a lush, port-forward palate with sweetness balanced by a touch of spice.

Finish

A smooth, gently spiced finish that lingers with nutmeg and redcurrant, slowly mellowing into warm, toasted oak.

(blair-ATH-oll) Blair Athol was founded in 1798 by John Stewart and Robert Robertson in Pitlochry, originally opening as Aldour after the Allt Dour burn. The early distillery closed soon after, before reopening in 1825 under the Blair Athol name. It later passed through several owners, including Peter Mackenzie, before Arthur Bell & Sons acquired the distillery in 1933.
