Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery highlights and a warm, mahogany edge.
Nose
Coastal peat and smoky brine lead, laced with rich sherry traces. Iodine and sea spray cling to leather and ash as dark fig, raisin and treacle mingle with cocoa and toasted oak. A lift of orange zest adds brightness to a decadent Islay perfume.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied peat and maritime brine, layered with dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a kiss of sherry sweetness. Oily texture coats the tongue; ash and iodine echo a coastal kiln. Long, warming finish with resinous wood and spice, leaving a refined, smoke-kissed sweetness.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish of peat smoke and sea spray, with rich sherry fruit trailing through dark chocolate, fig and leather. Maritime iodine lingers, then fades to warm oak and spice, leaving a refined, lasting ember on the tongue.
