Colour
Deep, burnished amber with coppery glints and a hint of mahogany at the edge—a sun-warmed bronze that shimmers with luxury.
Nose
Slightly medicinal at first, the nose blends carbolic soap with soothing rub into aromatic wood smoke, like driftwood by a beach bonfire. Intense herbal smoke rises, carrying a savory hint of barbecued pork. A touch of water softens the fire, revealing maritime breezes and dark, fruity depths, rendering the smoke more aromatic.
Palate
Creamy-smooth and mouth-filling at natural strength, the palate opens sweet and citrusy, with a touch of salt, then reveals juicy plum as the smoke deepens into a lip-tingling finish. A dash of water makes it sweeter and smokier.
Finish
Long and very smoky, with a salty tang that lingers and a touch of meatiness in the smoky aftertaste. The finish dries the palate, yet leaves a cooling, warm-hearted glow.
