Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany hues and a warm coppery glow.
Nose
Sea-salted maritime aromas blend with soy-marinated seafood, opening to sherry-soaked prunes, aromatic cigar ash and cool menthol. Anise notes rise against sooty-peppery oak, while old tea chests and rich ginger cake weave warmth and depth.
Palate
Tarry, dark peat coats the palate with gunpowder tea and peppery smoke, while black liquorice threads through smoked meats. Earthy bracken mingles with savoury seafood hints—oyster sauce and stout—leaving a saline, seaside finish that lingers and grows in depth.
Finish
Dark minty tea lingers with sooty anise, cured meat and smoked seafood, salty rock pools with bbq embers — long and brooding.
