Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery highlights and a warm, honey-bronze glow.
Nose
Bright, fresh vanilla and lemon lead the nose, with a maritime breeze in the background. Peat remains very soft, while ash lingers generously. After a moment, salt edges in, sharpening the sea-toned character into a clean, inviting aroma.
Palate
A veritable peat bomb on the palate, plump with vanilla sweetness, yet charged with ashes and lashings of smoke. Pear and lime brighten the core, notes of flowery honey and a touch of liquorice weaving through. Despite the high ABV, it glides easily, with a peppery prickling that keeps the mouth awake. Dangerously quaffable.
Finish
An exceptionally long finish where vanilla lingers on the palate, accompanied by a warming peppery bite that gradually fades into a gentle, lingering warmth.
