A limited festival release from Lagavulin, this 13 year old was bottled in 2021 at 54.8% ABV with an outturn of 3,000 bottles. Created to celebrate the Islay Jazz Festival, it showcases the distillery’s classic heavily peated island style.
Matured in oak, the whisky balances Lagavulin’s signature rich smoke and maritime character with layered oak influence, bringing depth, warmth and structure while retaining the distillery’s bold, coastal profile.

Colour
Deep copper-amber with a warm, sunlit edge.
Nose
An orchestra of peat and sea unfolds on the nose, with bold smoky iodine and maritime brine buoyed by a coastal breeze. Layered oak adds vanilla sweetness, toasted almond and soft toffee, creating warmth and structure. Subtle cocoa and char drift through, while peppery spice threads through the aroma, revealing the 13 years of maturation. Classic Lagavulin—bold, refined, coastal depth.
Palate
Powerful peat and maritime character upfront, with sea-salt ash blending into rich oak spices. Dark toffee, cocoa and dried fruit emerge, adding depth and warmth. A structured, full-bodied palate with mineral, coastal notes and a lingering, smoky finish.
Finish
Long, peated finish with coastal brine and embered smoke, gradually giving way to toasted oak, vanilla and spice. The warmth endures, carrying a mineral saltiness and a touch of citrus, a refined maritime echo that lingers softly and slowly fades.
