Nose

Intense peat smoke and medicinal iodine loom from the glass, carried on a briny sea breeze. Waves of tar and ash mingle with sweet, sun-warmed malt, vanilla, and a dusky sherry nuance. Subtle leather, cocoa, and dried fruit emerge as the perfume settles, finishing with a long, maritime glow.

Palate

Full-bodied and velvety, this Lagavulin pours a wave of coastal peat and sea-salt on entry. Sherry-influenced sweetness threads dried fig, prune and dark chocolate through the smoke, with toasted oak and espresso notes lending depth. The mouthfeel is oily and luxuriant, as char and spice build toward a long, warming finish of tobacco, pepper, and lingering iodine.

Finish

Long, peated finish with maritime smoke that slowly recedes into sherried, dark-fruited sweetness. Cocoa, spice and oak linger, leaving a warm coastal echo and a final whisper of ash.
