Tasting Notes
Colour
A rich, deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a whisper of mahogany.
Nose
Peat smoke and sea spray surge from the glass, iodine bright with maritime bite. Beneath, roasted barley and espresso mingle with dark chocolate, vanilla and toffee. Toasted oak and a whisper of treacle deepen the aroma, while a subtle saltiness and Guinness-cask warmth drift through the smoke in a lingering, inviting finish.
Palate
Peat and sea spray meet a Guinness-kissed sweetness, yielding a velvety, full-bodied palate. Dark chocolate and espresso weave with treacle and vanilla, the creamy malt providing warmth beside the Islay bite. A lingering wave of medicinal peat, salt, and char carries through the finish, leaving a refined, smoky-sweet coastline in its wake.
Finish
Long, coastal finish of ember peat and sea spray, enriched by Guinness‑driven roast barley. Dark chocolate and espresso notes mingle with toffee and vanilla, while a creamy oak sweetness softens the smoke. A resinous, lingering fade with iodine and salt carries you to a warm, velvety finale.
