Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, molten amber with burnished copper highlights and mahogany undertones, a bronze-gold glow.
Nose
Intense peat smoke anchors a briny sea-air aroma, with iodine and maritime spray. Dark sherry sweetness unfolds with charred oak, espresso, and dried figs, mingling leather and cocoa. A coastal, collectable perfume that speaks to Islay Pillaged Malt.
Palate
Layered peat and maritime notes flood the palate—briny iodine, ash and campfire smoke mingle with a rich sherry sweetness. Dark fruit, fig and cocoa unfold alongside espresso and spice, all wrapped in a full-bodied, warming frame. At 51.1% ABV the finish is long, smoky, salty, and subtly sweet.
Finish
Long, maritime peat and iodine linger, with sherry-dark fruit and cocoa weaving through the smoke. Leather and spice emerge as the warmth persists, leaving a lacquered coastal glow that lingers on the palate.
