Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany-tinged edge.
Nose
Layered peat smoke and maritime brine rise first, rich and medicinal with a whisper of seaweed. Beneath, sherry-fortified sweetness unfurls—dark figs, raisins and cacao nibs mingling with toasted oak. A velvety warmth and spice linger, guiding a refined, subtly smoky finish.
Palate
Peat and sea-salt open the palate with a creamy, robust breadth. Sherry-cask maturation sweetens the smoke into dark fruit—fig and raisin—tinged with cocoa and spice. A bright wisp of orange zest lifts the mid-palate, while the finish lingers with refined smoke, leather and warm ember notes.
Finish
Long, smoky finish where Lagavulin’s peat entwines with rich sherry sweetness. Dried fig and dark chocolate emerge against a warm espresso note, fading to a salted, mineral glow that lingers with a refined, coastal edge.
