Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with coppery mahogany tones and a rich chestnut glow.
Nose
Soft peat smoke mingles with leather-bound books and sticky toffee pudding, delivering a warm, evocative aroma that is smoky, rich and comforting.
Palate
Bold, rich and slightly dirty, the palate mirrors Kilkerran’s sherry-influenced character. Thick date syrup coats the tongue, while blackcurrants, cherries and redcurrants weave through a maritime, coastal brine that lingers with a warm, cask-strength kiss.
Finish
An evolving finish of ashy medicinal smoke, with ginger heat and a final drift of chocolate oranges, lingering warmly on the palate.
