The first batch of super heavily peated Kilkerran whisky from the Glengyle distilery on Campbeltown.
Peated to a ppm level of 84 ppm, bottled at a cask strength of 59.3% abv and matured in a combination of ex - bourbon and ex - sherry casks (55% bourbon & 45% sherry) this is going to be quite the whisky!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper highlights and a mahogany tint, a warm bronze glow.
Nose
Fresh apples with a tangle of mixed seeds and strawberry laces, ribbons of confectionary sweetness wafting alongside a smouldering campfire and toasted marshmallows.
Palate
Grilled fruit opens the palate, interlaced with cooking popcorn and caramelised brown sugar. Flaky puff pastry adds texture, while peppermint creams impart a cooling, confectionery finish.
Finish
Toasted oats and butter form a savory base, with salted beef and Parma ham lingering, finished by crushed vanilla pods.
