Nose

Port-fresh and lush, ripened red fruits surge forward—cherries, plums, raspberries—laced with syrupy sweetness from Port cask aging. Dried fig, candied orange peel and toasty oak intertwine with spice, clove and cocoa, while a whisper of maritime smoke lingers in the background. At cask strength, the aroma is dense, vibrant and inviting, hinting at depth, richness, and a bold oak-backed finish.

(kil-KERR-an) Kilkerran is produced at Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, a historic site founded by William Mitchell in 1872 after he left Springbank to establish his own distillery. Glengyle closed in 1925, remained silent for decades, and was bought by Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd in 2000 before returning to production in 2004 after a four-year rebuild.
