(kil-KERR-an) Kilkerran is produced at Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown, a historic site founded by William Mitchell in 1872 after he left Springbank to establish his own distillery. Glengyle closed in 1925, remained silent for decades, and was bought by Mitchell’s Glengyle Ltd in 2000 before returning to production in 2004 after a four-year rebuild.
