Colour
Dark, burnished amber with mahogany depth and a coppery, honey-gold glow.
Nose
A rich, well-rounded nose of vanilla pods and sweet custard, balanced by ripe pears and apples, with a subtle, smoky sootiness.
Palate
Oily and mouth-coating, offering cream custard with biscuits and wafers, tempered by peppery cask spice. The texture remains luxurious and supple, and with a touch of water cooked apples and pears emerge, adding orchard sweetness.
Finish
Speculoos biscuits soaked in vanilla custard, leaving a creamy, subtly spiced finish.
