Tasting Notes
Colour
Warm, sunlit amber with copper-gold highlights and a hint of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Soft and delicate on the nose, Kilkerran opens with a gentle malty, cereal core that unfurls into sweet apricot notes. Hints of lemon meringue and orange peel emerge, as a soft citrus character develops over time.
Palate
Powerful yet velvet on the palate, this malt is sweet and sticky with a waxy mouthfeel and a hint of aniseed. Lemon, pear drops and honey mingle with rich milk chocolate and liquorice, creating a luscious, confection-like core that lingers.
Finish
Rounded off with a gentle peat smoke influence, and the endurance of the malty, cereal notes.
