An older bottling of the Distillers Edition, double matured Lowland single malt, from Glenkinchie. Initially matured in Bourbon barrels this whisky is then finished in Amontillado sherry casks for an extran layer of delicte sweetness and fruit. As much of this distillery's output goes into the Haig blend, this and the 12 year old are really the only standard bottlings available.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber with warm honey tones and subtle copper highlights.
Nose
Bright lemon zest and green apple rise on the nose, lifted by delicate almond and marzipan. The Amontillado finish brings honeyed vanilla, dried orange and fig, with a subtle nutty backbone and gentle oak. A clean, elegant Lowland aroma—fragrant, lightly floral, and refined.
Palate
Silky and light on the palate, this Lowland dram offers bright pear and green apple with lemon zest and a kiss of honey. Amontillado sherry cask influence brings a delicate, nutty almond note, along with vanilla and subtle spice, weaving a poised texture that finishes clean with citrus and almond echoes.
Finish
Polished and lasting, the finish bears Amontillado sherry’s dry, nutty imprint. Subtle vanilla and orchard fruit melt into toasted almond, dried fruit and a kiss of spice, with a gentle warmth that lingers gracefully and slowly fades.
