The second release of what will be the Viking Legend series following on from the Highland Park Valkyrie.
A more phenolic peat level than the Valkyrie and aged in predominantly Sherry seasoned American oak casks with a small amount of Orkney grown Tartan barley used in the mash which adds to a more smokier and lingering sweet and spicy style of Highland Park.
Valknut translates as "knot of those killed in battle" and the bottle and its packaging has been designed by a famous Danish designer, Jim Lyngvild.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Toasted vanilla pods, cracked black pepper, oak shavings, cloves, aniseed and aromatic smoke.
Palate
Sweet, aromatic cloves join forces with tangy notes of aniseed.
Finish
Intensely balanced, bold and courageous, leaves a lingering memory of aromaic peat smoke and sweet spices.
