Colour
Pale straw gold, glinting with a delicate honey-amber sheen.
Nose
A mellow, direct nose with light floral grassiness. Fresh orange juice gives way to hints of apple, then wisps of flaked almonds and light vanilla. Meadow-grass notes deepen the floral theme, while a splash of water heightens vanilla, settling among sweet meadow scents.
Palate
Smoothly pleasing in texture, airy to taste; at first lightly sweet, then a citrus acidity rises. It becomes fruitier with a rich, round style, while turning lightly drying, with vibrant oaky spiciness. Appetising and easy to enjoy neat or with water, which softens the spiciness and brings back the initial sweetness.
Finish
Medium-length and richly characterful, finishing dry and spicy; a dash of water tames the heat and smoothes the palate.
