From the first batch of GlenAllachie's Wood Finish Series comes a 12 Year Old PX Finished whisky. This glorious rich mahogany malt has been matured for over ten years in American Oak Wood Barrels. The additional maturation in richly seasoned Pedro Ximenez Puncheons enriches the flavour, creating a sweeter, fruitier whisky.
The casks are regularly monitored to ensure the perfect balance between our single malt and this luscious dessert sherry. Natural colour, unchilfiltered and bottled at 48%. One of 9600 bottles.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich mahogany with coppery undertones and a warm, amber-gold glow.
Nose
A storm of raisins, sultanas, dark chocolate, bananas and orange peel.
Palate
On the palate, brimming with fruit cake, dark chocolate and toffee, it unfurls banana and orange peel with warm spices. The Pedro Ximenez finish adds dessert-soaked sweetness, yielding a velvety, fruit-forward mouthfeel that lingers with citrusy zest and a hint of cocoa.
Finish
Long and luscious, the finish drenches the palate with dessert-sherry sweetness: raisin, fig and orange peel mingle with dark chocolate and toffee, while cinnamon and spice linger through a velvety, wood-kissed tail that slowly fades.
