Cambus (silent) Macbeth Act One - Ghosts Series - First Ghost Single Grain Scotch Whisky 31 Year Old
In stock
A collection of forty-two different whiskies from the length and breadth of Scotland, selected and bottled by Livingstone in partnership with Elixir Distillers. Each whisky represents a character from the Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare, with illustrations by Sir Quentin Blake and character notes by Dave Broom.
The First Ghost is one of six ghost distillery whiskies in The Ghosts series.
For The Ghosts, the link to silent, ghost distilleries was obvious and the selection of grain whisky offers a delicacy that reinforces the ethereal qualities of these apparitions. This is shown in the First Ghost to be revealed, a Single Grain Scotch Whisky aged 31 years, distilled at Cambus Distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Glowing golden amber with pale straw edges and a warm, sunlit glow; a refined, aged honey warmth suggesting depth and elegance.
Nose
An ethereal, silken nose: delicate orchard fruits—ripe pear and yellow apple—drift with vanilla, honey, and soft toffee. Subtle almond and white chocolate mingle with creamy custard, while a whisper of citrus zest and gentle oak add refined spice to a poised, contemplative aroma.
Palate
Silky and airy, it coats the tongue with creamy vanilla, honeyed custard and almond paste. Sherry-draped notes of fig, raisin and orange peel unfold with whispering spice, toasted oak and a hint of almond blossom. The texture is velvety and refined, leading to a long, elegant finish of nutty sweetness, cocoa dust and subtle oak warmth.
Finish
An elongated, satin finish that lingers with honeyed orchard fruit, vanilla and toasted oak. A whisper of spice threads through the grainy sweetness, fading slowly to a warm, ghostly glow that leaves the palate serene and memorably refined.
