Tasting Notes
Colour
A deep amber-gold colour with copper-bronze edges, luminous and inviting. Light glows through its long, noble maturation, hinting at mahogany depths.
Nose
Opulent and tactile: bright citrus and orchard fruits—pear, apricot, orange peel—meet the warm spice of cinnamon and clove. Underpinning are polished oak, cedar and a whisper of tobacco and leather; a lacquered, resinous sweetness and faint cocoa finish the aroma, like gold inlay on ancient wood. A vibrant, impeccably balanced nose that speaks to half a century of maturation.
Palate
Silky and opulent, the palate unfurls with sun-warmed apricot and citrus zest, beneath a resinous spine of sandalwood and cinnamon. A ripe fruit core carries notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and toffee, while polished oak and a whisper of tobacco weave in. Velvety oils coat the mouth, yielding to a long, refined finish of spice, leather, and subtle smoke.
Finish
Extremely long, silken finish that lingers with refined warmth. Dried citrus and dark fruit lead into a measured spice core—cinnamon, clove, white pepper—over a velvet oak and cedar backbone. A trace of tobacco and lacquered resin fades slowly, leaving a delicate mineral echo and an enduring, contemplative warmth.
