In stock
The Macbeth Series by Livingstone is a Scotch Whisky collection selected and bottled by Elixir distillers. This remarkable collection is presented with character notes by renowned whisky writer David Broom, and illustrations by one of Europe's most famous illustrators, Sir Quentin Blake.
In a career spanning seven decades, Sir Quentin Blake has illustrated over 300 books including classic works by Roald Dahl such as The BFG, Matilda, and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. He rarely produces any commercial illustration and his work is highly collectable.
A limited release of 300 bottles, the Lennox edition was distilled at Glentauchers and matured in bourbon oak for 27 years.
Notes about Lennox from Oliver Chilton of Elixer Distillers:
“Lennox is described as a young man and we wanted a distillate lead whisky where the good humour of this character could spring out of the glass. The beautiful florality of Glentauchers aligned with its gentle orchard fruit, suggests a character with a lighter touch, whilst the hint of American oak char in the back palate hints at his practical cynicism, which leads this character to support both Macbeth and ultimately Macduff.”.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber with coppery highlights.
Nose
Delicate florals rise from a tender bouquet of orchard fruits—pear, apple, peach—bright and buoyant. A subtle whisper of American oak char threads the aroma, hinting at bourbon cask maturation.
Palate
Floral and lightly fruity on the palate, with delicate orchard notes of pear and apple that drift through creamy vanilla and a touch of honey. The 27-year maturation lends a poised, silky mouthfeel, while a whisper of American oak char adds a gentle spice that lingers, leaving a refined, lightly toasted finish.
Finish
Elegant and enduring, the Lennox finish drapes orchard fruit and delicate florals across the palate, then reveals a creamy vanilla and toffee sweetness from the bourbon cask. A whisper of toasted American oak and subtle spice lingers, finishing with a soft, sun-warmed warmth that invites another sip.
