Single Cask

A limited-edition Speyside single malt from Glentauchers, independently bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftain's collection. Distilled in July 2003 and matured for 12 years in a European oak sherry butt, this release combines the elegant, malty character of Glentauchers with the richer dried fruit and spice associated with sherry-seasoned oak.

Drawn from cask no. 900233 and bottled in April 2016 at 46% ABV, just 762 bottles were produced. Bottled without chill filtration and at natural colour.

Glentauchers
(Glen-TAW-kers) Glentauchers was founded near Mulben in 1897 by James Buchanan and W.P. Lowrie, with production beginning in 1898. Its early history was closely tied to blending from the outset, with James Buchanan & Co taking full ownership in 1906 before later becoming part of DCL in 1925. The distillery was expanded in 1966, closed during the whisky downturn in 1985, and returned to production in 1992.
