Colour

Deep amber with coppery mahogany tones.

Nose

Opulent sherry aroma greets the nose: sun-dried raisins, prunes and figs, lifted by orange marmalade. Vanilla caramel, toffee and cocoa mingle with almond and toasted oak, while cinnamon and clove add a gentle spice. Rich, warm, and inviting, it promises a dessert-like, luxuriously mature profile.

Palate

Silky, full-bodied on the palate, with a sumptuous sherry sweetness that clings to the tongue. Dried fig and raisin mingle with orange peel, toffee and dark chocolate, while walnut and spice threads add warmth. Velvet malt coats the mid-palate, finishing with oak and a refined, lingering warmth.

Finish

Long, luxurious and refined, with velvety sherry sweetness lingering on the palate. Ripe raisins and fig mingle with toasted almond and cocoa, while warm spice and oak fade to a lasting, silky finish.

Glentauchers
(Glen-TAW-kers) Glentauchers was founded near Mulben in 1897 by James Buchanan and W.P. Lowrie, with production beginning in 1898. Its early history was closely tied to blending from the outset, with James Buchanan & Co taking full ownership in 1906 before later becoming part of DCL in 1925. The distillery was expanded in 1966, closed during the whisky downturn in 1985, and returned to production in 1992.
