Tasting Notes

Colour

Golden amber with sunlit honey hues and a warm copper-gold glow.

Nose

A warming nose of cinnamon and clove, mingling with rich sherried fruit. Toffee-apple sweetness emerges, followed by a subtle wisp of smoke.

Palate

Soft and creamy mouthfeel, with raspberry and orchard fruits dancing alongside cracked black pepper.

Finish

Light and smooth, the finish lingers softly with dried red fruits in the background, a gentle warmth and delicate spice fading gracefully.

Glentauchers
(Glen-TAW-kers) Glentauchers was founded near Mulben in 1897 by James Buchanan and W.P. Lowrie, with production beginning in 1898. Its early history was closely tied to blending from the outset, with James Buchanan & Co taking full ownership in 1906 before later becoming part of DCL in 1925. The distillery was expanded in 1966, closed during the whisky downturn in 1985, and returned to production in 1992.
