A Single Cask Cambus, distilled in 1993, the final year of production for this venerable Grain distillery. Matured in a single sherry butt which produced only 617 bottles, bottled at cask strength with natural colour.

The palate offers notes of vanilla, red berries, caramel and citrus that build into a long, lingering finish.

Nose

Sherry-tinged and richly layered, this nose unfolds with dried red berries and raisins, vanilla and toffee, bright citrus zest and toasted oak. Silky spice lingers, with almond and cocoa hints building toward a warm, elegant invitation from a cask-strength sherry butt.

Palate

Silky vanilla and caramel cloak ripe red berries, brightened by citrus. The sherry butt lends warm, nutty depth with a touch of oak, delivering a creamy, rounded mouthfeel. Flavors expand across the palate and linger, a full, balanced finish that stays sherried, fruity, and gently spicy.

Finish

Long, lingering finish where vanilla and caramel sweetness coalesce with bright red berry and citrus zest, carried by a subtle sherry warmth that slowly fades to a refined, lasting glow.

Cambus (silent)
(CAM-bus) Cambus was founded in 1806 by John Moubray at a former mill near Alloa, and began life as a malt distillery before shifting decisively into grain whisky in 1836 with the installation of Stein patent stills. Under the Moubray family it grew quickly, with a Coffey still added in 1851 and the site expanding into one of the largest grain distilleries in Scotland. In 1877, Cambus became one of the founding companies of Distillers Company Limited.
