This single malt was distilled at Blair Athol in 2013. The whisky was partly matured in a first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead, and enjoyed a total maturation of 9 years. Only 341 bottles were produced in this outrun.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished mahogany with an amber glow and subtle ruby-copper highlights.
Nose
Rich PX sherry perfume with dark raisins, figs and prunes, mingling with dates and treacle. Cocoa nibs and roasted coffee meet vanilla and polished oak, while orange zest and warm baking spices lift the aroma. A hint of leather rounds out a decadent, dessert-style nose.
Palate
Velvety, full-bodied palate saturated with Pedro Ximénez influence: prune, fig, raisin, and date cloak a caramel- and toffee-draped core. Nutty almond, espresso and dark chocolate accents mingle with warming cinnamon and clove. Silky oak frames a long, luxurious finish, leaving a honeyed sweetness and a subtle resinous woodiness.
Finish
Long, luxurious and richly sherried, the finish smeared with Pedro Ximenez sweetness—raisins, figs and dark caramel washing over the palate. Hints of cocoa, orange zest and toasted spice deepen as the velvet-smooth fruit folds away, leaving a warm, lingering oak-dusted dryness that invites another sip.
