Tasting Notes
Colour
A rich, dark amber with coppery highlights and a hint of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Opulent sherry-kissed nose with dried fig, prune and plum, lifted by orange zest and treacle. Cocoa and espresso mingle with toasted almond, vanilla and spice, while a whisper of leather and tobacco rests on polished oak.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and richly sherried, this Banff caresses the tongue with fig and plum fruit, orange zest and dark chocolate. Spiced by clove and cinnamon, hints of almond, toffee and coffee mingle with velvety oak. Oils coat the palate, delivering a luxurious mouthfeel that slowly releases a long, refined finish of dried fruit, leather and faint mineral lift.
Finish
Long and luxurious, the finish unfolds with rich sherry‑inflected fruit—dates, fig and raisin—layered with dark chocolate and orange zest. Warm oak and spice linger, leaving a silky, resinous fade that invites the next sip.
