Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with a coppery sheen and ruby‑bronze highlights; the rim glows mahogany, a warm, sherry‑kissed hue that speaks of long cask maturation.
Nose
Rich sherry anchors the aroma, releasing prune, fig and raisin fruit lifted with orange zest. Underpinning notes of polished oak, cocoa and toasted almond mingle with subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—and a delicate whisper of leather and tobacco. Elegant, inviting, and deeply mature.
Palate
Silky, medium-full on the palate, Banff offers sherry-led richness with fig, date and raisin, paired with honeyed toffee and dark chocolate. Spices—cinnamon, clove, nutmeg—rise with warm oak and subtle tannin. Velvet texture, leather and tobacco notes emerge, finishing with a refined, nutty sweetness that lingers.
Finish
A long, refined finish that lingers with dark fruit and spice. Dried cherries and raisins melt into cocoa and praline as sherry oak layers warm cinnamon and nutmeg. Leather and subtle tobacco knit with toasted oak, leaving a velvety, enduring glow that invites another sip.
