"A rare whisky on at least two major counts: one because casks of this are harder to come by than Millwall wins under Ian Holloway. And secondly, because few casks get to this kind of age with its honey and sugars still intact. What a loss this distillery was. But what a gain it is for anyone who finds this bottle: it is a true classic."

Tasting Notes
Colour
Honeyed amber with caramel-gold depth and copper-bronze edges, a warm, sunlit hue.
Nose
Elegant, honeyed and bright, the nose unfurls with honeycomb, caramel and dried orchard fruits, a trace of orange zest. Subtle sherry-cask oak, vanilla and a whisper of waxy depth weave through, hinting at a long, refined finish.
Palate
Opulent and silky on the palate, honeyed richness unfolds with toffee, dried apricot and orange zest. Sherry sweetness coats the tongue, while refined oak spice, vanilla and almond lift the mid-palate. Velvety texture with balanced warmth, culminating in a long, elegant finish.
Finish
An enduring, velvety finish that lingers with honeyed sweetness and a thread of dark fruit. Fig and raisin mingle with toffee and Demerara sugar, while soft spices and oak unfurl. The sherry influence stays warm and rich, leaving notes of almond, cocoa and leather to softly fade into the palate.
